The heat continues through the weekend with some chances for rain
ALL OUR WEATHER HERE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA IS VERY FITTING FOR THAT. ABSOLUTELY. YEAH. IT WAS REALLY HOT YESTERDAY AND HUMID. WE’RE GOING TO DO THAT AGAIN TODAY WITH A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS, BUT JUST A LITTLE BIT LOWER HUMIDITY. SO DO KNOW THAT THERE IS SOME RAIN, BUT IT’S NOT GOING TO RUIN ANY OF YOUR OUTDOOR PLANS. MAYBE YOU ARE HEADING TO OUR THEME PARKS AND YOU’RE UP EARLY THIS MORNING GETTING THE KIDS READY, TRYING TO WAKE THEM UP, GETTING THEM READY FOR A THEME PARK DAY. KNOW THAT IT’S GOING TO BE WARM, BUT RIGHT NOW IT’S VERY COMFORTABLE. WE’RE AT 68 DEGREES IN ORLANDO AND IN BITHLO IT IS 67 DEGREES IN DAYTONA BEACH. ALMOST 70 DEGREES IN OCALA, AND WE ARE AT 70 DEGREES IN WILDWOOD. IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE KIDS TO THE BUS STOP THIS MORNING, JUST KNOW THAT IT IS A PLEASANT START TO OUR DAY WITH MOSTLY CLEAR CONDITIONS. AND THEN WHEN YOU PICK THEM UP FROM SCHOOL, WE SHOULD HAVE MOSTLY SUNNY AND DRY CONDITIONS, BUT WE CAN’T RULE OUT AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR TWO. BUT I THINK THE BIGGER FOCUS TODAY IS JUST GOING TO BE ON THE HEAT. KEEP IN MIND OUR AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE IS 87 DEGREES. TODAY WILL BE AT 90 DEGREES. MOST INLAND LOCATIONS DO REACH THE LOW 90S, AND OUR COASTAL SPOTS WILL REACH THE LOWER 80S CLEAR START TO OUR DAY A LITTLE BIT MORE CLOUD COVER BACK TOWARDS OUR WEST. THIS MAY STREAM IN LATER ON THIS MORNING, BUT I STILL THINK WE’LL HAVE PLENTY OF SUNSHINE GOING INTO THE LATE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. AND THEN AS CLOUDS BUILD, WE’LL SQUEEZE OUT MAYBE 1 OR 2 ISOLATED SHOWERS. OVERALL RAIN COVERAGE TODAY IS 10%, SO JUST VERY, VERY ISOLATED IN NATURE. AND I THINK THAT’S GOING TO BE FROM THE METRO AND WEST A COUPLE OF STRAY SHOWERS THAT GOES UNTIL 6:00 THIS EVENING. AND THEN AFTER 6:00 EVERYTHING DRIES OUT. SO YOUR WEATHER IMPACT TODAY MAINLY GOING TO BE FOR THAT AFTERNOON ROUND OF GOLF. IT’S A LOW WEATHER IMPACT JUST FOR AN ISOLATED SHOWER. PLUS THE HEAT BUT YOUR MORNING ROUND NOT LOOKING TOO BAD. NOW. THIS WEEKEND WE’LL HAVE AN ISOLATED SHOWER ON SATURDAY, RAIN INCREASING ON SUNDAY UP TO A 30% COVERAGE. SO I THINK THAT SATURDAY WOULD BE THE BETTER DAY OUTDOORS. BUT BOTH DAYS, IF YOU’RE THINKING ABOUT THE BEACH, LOOKING GOOD BECAUSE A LOT OF THAT RAINFALL WILL FIRE UP JUST WEST OF I 95, THEN LOOKING AHEAD TO THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK, RAIN CHANCES ARE LOWER RIGHT AROUND 20%, SO IT’S NOT GOING TO BE A LOT OF HIGH RAIN CHANCES OR ACCUMULATE TO MUCH. OUR ACCUMULATION MAY BE WILL REACH ONE TO TO TWO INCHES OF PRECIPITATION IN SOME SPOTTY SPOTS, BUT OVERALL NOT GOING TO SEE A WHOLE LOT OF HIGH RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS AND REALLY NOT A LOT OF RAINFALL FOR BREVARD COUNTY. LATEST DROUGHT MONITOR UPDATE IS NOW AT A MODERATE DROUGHT STATUS FROM CENTRAL AND DOWN TO SOUTHERN BREVARD COUNTY. THEN, LOOKING AHEAD TO NEXT WEEK, WE REALLY START TO DRY OUT WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. MOSTLY SUNNY, DRY AN

Our Friday is off to a comfortable start with many locations in the 60s & 70s. We are under mostly clear conditions this morning, however, we will be watching for patchy fog to develop. That will lift later in the morning leading to a sunny day ahead. Rain chances are lower this afternoon, but not zero. We could squeeze out a few showers after lunch until 6p. Otherwise, the forecast will be sunny and hot.Isolated PM rain will continue Saturday with highs in the lower 90s. Rain chances will be highest on Sunday as we’ll be up to 30%. Much of the rain will arrive in the afternoon and evening.A ridge of high pressure will build next week setting us up for a sunny, dry, and hot stretch. A few isolated showers are possible Monday and Tuesday with highs in the lower 90s. We’ll dry out Wednesday as highs reach the middle 90s and continue into Thursday. Some data is still suggesting we could see highs in the upper 90s and triple-digits, but I am hesitant to put this on the forecast right now. Regardless of the upper 90s/100s it will still be hot.
