Getting to the Harry Potter™ Studio by car

Our nearest train station is Watford Junction and direct trains from both London Euston (20 minute journey) and Birmingham New Street (one hour journey) arrive there. Other non-direct train services operate from London Euston but these may take longer to arrive at Watford Junction.

How long is my visit expected to last? The average visit to the Studio Tour lasts approximately three and a half hours, although there is no limit imposed on your time at the attraction.

What is the cheapest way to get to Harry Potter World London? The fastest and by far the cheapest way to visit the Harry Potter studios in London is by train. All you need to do is take the West Midlands Train from London Euston to Watford Junction. The train journey takes only 14 minutes and goes direct.

Luton is the closest airport (17 miles) followed by Heathrow (23 miles) and taxis are readily available. Top Tip: The cloakroom is free of charge at Harry Potter Studios and they will happily store your luggage for you.

The train operates on the West Highland Line on one of Scotland's most iconic railway routes - from Fort William to Mallaig - from March to October. It crosses the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which became an attraction for a new generation of tourists after being featured in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Getting to Studio Tour from London by Train & Bus:

The nearest train station is Watford Junction which has a direct train from London Euston station taking 20 minutes. There are several trains per hour. From here, there is a shuttle bus run by Mullany's Coaches, which goes from Watford Junction Station to the studios.

Visit on a weekday or during early hours

They typically have better availability, so look at different days of the week to get your preferred slot. During the day, it is also recommended that you visit in the early hours. You will need 3 to 7 hours to explore the studio.

6 to 8 weeks is ideal to avoid disappointment, if not further in advance if your travel plans are not very flexible. Bare in mind this is for standard tickets. The Making of Harry Potter studio tour has various ticket options available including their Deluxe Tour.

I can recommend this! You actually feel like your in the movie. A good 4 hours but the time is irrelevant there is so much to see from young to old, and the butter beer is wonderful!
