Overall Horry-Georgetown Technical College was a good experience. I did the Digital Arts program and for anyone thinking about doing that program I would definitely recommend it. All of our homework assignments were projects which was really cool because we got to fully focus on being creative. We got to design logos, posters, brochures, calendars, packaging, ads, playing cards, trading cards, and much more! The professors were also really fun and don't mind helping you learn the programs if you are having trouble. I had Mr.Mroz and Ms.Balzotti. We learned a bunch of programs in the adobe creative suite like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. The only thing I have to say is to make sure you have a solid plan after graduating. There aren't a lot of creative jobs in/near conway and myrtle beach so you might want to save money so you can apply to any job location you want and relocate if you need to. Or continue your education and get bachelor's degree.

During my first semester and a half, I’ve had time inbetween classes to explore the campus and experience what it has to offer. The professors are all helpful and very clearly love what they do, which makes the classes go by. Outside of class I love to just put my headphones in and walk throughout the campus, we have nice ponds and nature around us and it is rather relaxing!

Everyone at HGTC has been super helpful! Tech central always finds a way to help me with my needs with as little stress as possible. Plus, the student portal is super user friendly!
