When is next Mega Millions drawing? Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.

JUST THE JACKPOT To play only for the jackpot prize, ask the clerk for a Just the Jackpot wager. You can pick your own numbers, or let the terminal pick them for you (Quick Pick). You will get two plays for $3. This wager will give you a chance to win the jackpot, but no other prize levels.

A Mega Millions ticket costs $2 per play. For an additional $1, players can add the Megaplier to potentially increase their winnings outside of the jackpot.

The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball. Jackpot winners may choose to receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump-sum payment. Both advertised prize options are prior to federal and jurisdictional taxes.

Mega Millions® tickets cost $2.00 per play. Players may pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 70 (the white balls) and one number from 1 to 25 (the gold Mega Ball) - or select Easy Pick/Quick Pick. You win the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in a drawing.

Annuity option: The Mega Millions annuity is paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments. Each payment is 5% bigger than the previous one. This helps protect winners' lifestyle and purchasing power in periods of inflation.

Pick 3, Pick 4, and All or Nothing drawings are held every day after 1:30 p.m. for MIDDAY draws and after 9:00 p.m. for EVENING draws. Tickets must be purchased before 1:30 p.m. to be included in that day's MIDDAY draw and before 9:00 p.m. to be included in that day's EVENING draw.

How long does it take to get lottery winnings from Mega Millions? ›

If you elected the cash option or if your prize is only offered in a single payment, your check should arrive approximately six to eight weeks from your claim date. If your prize is to be paid in installments, your first payment should be available within six to eight weeks from your claim date.
