Can you still do Expedition 1 no man's sky? ›

Summary. This page documents the first expedition of No Man's Sky, called The Pioneers. It began with the release of the Expeditions update on 31 Mar 2021, and ended on 16 May 2021.

The player starts their journey in a Harmonic Camp, and each “pilgrimage” requires the player to find another one of these camps. After each Pilgrimage, the player will interact with an Autophage. After completing three simple math puzzles, the Autophage will give the player lore.

Playing as a Pirate

Players can choose to engage in piracy themselves by attacking a freighter or other ships in a space fleet. Doing this will alert Sentinel Drone Starships, who will engage in combat with the player. Selected ships display their cargo in the same way as resources do.

Players will get to investigate weird robotic heads scattered around the galaxy, and uncover cryptic clues as to where the story will go from there.
