Build the pigsty and then place it anywhere on your farm, and then you will be ready to tame some pigs.

Where To Find Pigs

Pigs are found inside crates scattered throughout the world. In the image above, you can see a locked crate on the left side; inside, there is a pig. Interacting with the crate will open it and free the pig.

To find these pig crates, you may need to destroy trash that is blocking the way. If a hidden pig crate is nearby, you will be able to hear their oinks. Overall, it's a good idea to destroy all the trash in an area anyway, so as you do this, you should find several pig crates.

To tame a pig, you will need to feed it honey. Once tamed, a heart will appear; press R while looking at the pig to choose a name. After taming the pig, it will also teleport back to your farm.

From the menu where you name your pig, you will also be able to place a hat on it. Although hats are cute, they have no practical effects.

Honey is an item that is produced from the beehive. By placing a beehive on your farm, you will be able to get honey each day to tame pigs that you find.

We recommend carrying honey with you at all times, you never know when you may run into a pig. If you don't have any honey on hand, the pig will not wander too far. You can return to your farm, grab some honey, and then quickly return without worrying about the pig wandering off.
