Is Happy Tree Friends appropriate for kids? ›

All of the episodes feature at least a moderate to severe amount of gore. All the characters have died tragically in at least three episodes. Most of which are gruesome and hard to watch, especially if you're squeamish. The episode "Out on a limb" contains no death but it is still extremely gory.

It's really funny and interesting, but it's not for children and they should never view it too young. So warning for sensitive people, don't watch this. Message to casual viewers, be warned because this is gory. Message to people who know what they'll get, good luck through the gore.

It is very graphic and shouldn't be shown to anyone under 14 or anyone extremely sensitive to gore. Everyone has different levels of what they can handle but I would never take that risk with a child, especially seeing the fact that it messed my friend up good.

Good for a family with older children
