The Toro TimeCutter SS3225 is a hydrostatic zero-turn tractor powered by a 452cc Toro engine. It has a 32-inch 1-bladed mowing system under a 4-inch deep top discharge deck with convenient washout ports.

For some homeowners, a smooth ride is a top priority and luckily, there are a few brands that have made it one. In particular, we'd recommend either Ferris® or STIHL® for those seeking a smooth ride on their power zero-turn mower because they have built a suspension system into many of their units.

Two thousand hours is generally the number you'll hit without any major repairs.

Adjust the Speed

Most zero-turn mowers come with adjustable speed controls. To increase the speed, push the forward pedal. To slow down or stop, push the reverse pedal or the brake pedal.

Zero Turn Mowers cut faster as they have a zero-degree turning radius, which allows them to manoeuvre around obstacles with ease and reduce the time spent on reversing or making wide turns. What size zero-turn mower for 3 acres? ›

Look for a zero turn mower with a deck size that matches your lawn size. For example, if you have a 3-acre lawn, a deck size of 60 inches or larger would be ideal. The second thing to consider is the terrain of your lawn. Zero turn mowers are great for uneven terrain, but not all zero turn mowers are created equal.

The Toro single cylinder and Toro Commercial V-Twin engines — the same ones found on some of our industry- leading commercial zero-turn mowers — were specifically created to deliver optimal performance in our mowers to the needs of the Toro decks they power.

Toro makes Toro and Lawn Boy. MTD makes all of the store brands (i.e., a mower that might have the Home Depot name on it), along with MTD, Dynamark, YardPro, Weed Eater, Noma, and Sears Craftsman. Murray makes MTD.

The Chinese engines which Toro is using are built by the Loncin corporation in Chongqing, China.
