Pizzascare (2024)

Pizzascare (1)

Pizzascare is the seventeenth level in Pizza Tower, and the first level of Staff Only.

This level is a more horrific and harder version of Pizzascape, being a castle full of ghosts ruled by Ghost King.

The level's titlecard shows one of the Exorcists fighting a ravenous Pizzard, while Peppino runs from a detailed Ghost King in the background. A Ghostknight is also seen sweeping up debris in the background.

Collectables[]

  • Mushroom Toppin

  • Cheese Toppin

  • Tomato Toppin

  • Sausage Toppin

  • Pineapple Toppin

  • Tower Secret Treasure

  • Pumpkin

The first Toppin is in the second room, being on the player's normal path.

Pizzascare (2)

The second Toppin is located in the room after the Mushroom Toppin, on the main path underneath a Pepperoni Goblin Bat.

Pizzascare (3)

The third Toppin is located in the room after the Cheese Toppin, on the player's normal path.

Pizzascare (4)

The fourth Toppin is in the same room as the first secret. It is also on the player's natural path forward.

After activating Pizza Time, the final Toppin is located two rooms after Pillar John. It is on the player's normal path.

Note: This has been updated after the 1.0.215 patch. That mentioned the location of the Pineapple Toppin being changed in Pizzascare. This has been updated as well.

Gerome is located in a hidden wall during Pizza Time, near the room's exit (the same exit that is near the second secret). The player needs to jump down and to the left to get to him.

Pizzascare (5)

The door to the Pizzascare (6) is located in the second room of the stage. The player needs to activate a Goblinbot with the Ghost King and carry the Ball form all the way to the right to break Stupid Rat blocks to get to a hidden room with the door.

Pumpkin is located in the second room, right after the Ramp.

Pizzascare (8)

Secrets[]

  • First Secret

  • Second Secret

  • Third Secret

The first secret is two rooms after the Tomato Toppin, visible to the player behind a Rat Pin. To bowl over the pin, the player must take the Ball transformation from the left side of that hallway all the way back to the Rat's location and jump through.

Pizzascare (9)

In this secret, the player both dodges and gets kicked by possessed Goblinbot machines to destroy some Pin Stupid Rats.

The second secret is accessible during Pizza Time. When the player enters the outside area again, they must stand by the exit door, which has a Rat Pin next to it, and make a Pepperoni Goblin Bat kick them through.

Pizzascare (10)

In this secret, the player blasts through long grind rails.

The final secret is at the start of the stage, but is only accessible during Pizza Time. The player must super jump into a divot in the ceiling to find a hidden wall that would otherwise be barred by John Blocks.

Pizzascare (11)

In this secret, the player kills Ghostknights and activates a Switch Block to exit the room.

Trivia[]

  • This Level Secret theme is shared with Pizzascape's.
  • This Level was titled "Chateau" early in development.
  • The level's treasure may be a reference to how, in the Castlevania games, health pickups are often present in the form of plates of roast chicken hidden in stone walls.
  • This level's titlecard theme is the same as Pizzascapes's, but the last note is out of tune.
  • This level used to be simply a harder version of Pizzascape, made for the Noise's Hardoween demo. The level got completely reworked in the Rework Build.
  • In Peppino's Xmas Break Strongcold level, the last room is made in the Pizzascare style.
  • Upon entering this stage, the game's window will rename itself to "Ye olde ghastly Pizza Tower".
