It’s hard to believe but we are just a few weeks from the end of the 2023-24 school year and that means we are also ready for IHSAA Tournament action! Find all the latest news and schedules for the tournament season below. Sports are listed in order of Sectional competition.

Boys Volleyball

Girls Track and Field

Sectional Host: Franklin
Date: Tuesday, May 14
Admission: All tickets will be digital through your mobile phone and may be purchased through Eventlink (additional fees may apply). No cash. Present your purchase verification on your mobile phone at the gate for admission. $7 per person. Children age 5 and younger admitted free. All seats general admission. No pass outs.

Advancement: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place sectional winners in all individual events and relays plus any individual or relay team meeting the 3 Participant Standard in the sectional finals of their event. If the top 3 finishers plus 3 Participant Standard advancers in an event is less than 16, the next best performances from the corresponding sectionals shall be added to bring the total number of entrants to 16 in each event. An individual or relay team shall not advance to the regional from the sectional finals unless the time is recorded by fully automatic timing (FAT).

Participating Schools: Avon, Brownsburg, Center Grove, Decatur Central, Franklin Community, Greenwood Community, Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, Martinsville, Mooresville, Northview, Plainfield, Terre Haute North Vigo, Terre Haute South Vigo, Whiteland Community

Advancement:
Advancement will be by team. Individuals will not advance. Team advancement is determined by the top three team finishers at each sectional. The top three (3) teams from each Sectional will advance to the Regional. Ties will be broken by the appropriate protocol.

In the event of a tie(s) for 3rd place (and qualifying for the Regionals), the tie will be broken by determining the most number of 1st place finishes in individual heats, inclusive of shot put and long jump. If a tie still exists, the tie will be broken by determining the most number of 2nd places finishes. That process will continue until the tie is broken.

If a tie still exists, a coin will be flipped to determine the team(s) that will advance to the next level of the tournament. In the event of a tie for a team championship, both teams will be recognized as winners, and duplicate awards will be provided for both teams.
