How does urgent care work in Florida? ›

Urgent care provides treatment for minor conditions and illnesses that need immediate attention, but are not cause for an emergency room visit. Urgent care facilities are open beyond the hours of a typical medical practice, providing care during the day, weeknights and on weekends.

On average, a basic urgent care visit may range from $100 to $250. This pricing usually covers the consultation with a healthcare provider and a basic examination.

An emergency department visit may also be necessary if you have a feeling of weakness throughout the entire body that is accompanied by these symptoms: Associated fatigue. Fever. High heart rate (heart is racing)
