How do you respond to a power outage? ›

I wanted to inform you that a power outage has occurred in my area, significantly affecting my ability to work remotely today.

It could be just due to the weather, or the problem may lie with the power company's facilities. If the problem occurs regularly, have a licensed electrician check everything out. This will ensure that there are no loose connections and other issues with your electrical system, which could potentially cause a fire.

Almost one-quarter of 2022 power outages occurred in California. The state of California also came in first for the most power outages overall in the last 20 years: 2,684.
