Is Boomi no longer owned by Dell? ›

In 2021, Dell divested Boomi. It was the right move for both companies and their partners – but most importantly, it was the right move for customers. Boomi is now a privately-held company and provides an intelligent integration and automation platform to businesses worldwide.

To manage users go to Account menu > Setup > User Management. To create a user, click add and complete the form (all fields are required). Choose at least one role. The user email address becomes the user ID.

The capacities of SAP CPI/Dell Boomi are genuinely comparable as both are Integration platform as a Service tools (iPaaS) and support primarily cloud integrations. Dell Boomi is web-based, however, you can deploy it locally or in the cloud. SAP CPI, then again, is a web-based but deployment is on SAP cloud-only.

Boomi offers a cloud-based platform that allows businesses to integrate various cloud and on-premise applications. MuleSoft provides a more comprehensive solution that includes not only integration but also API management and application network capabilities.

Francisco Partners and TPG said they are acquiring Boomi from Dell for $4 billion. The deal poses various questions. Private equity firms always seek a return on investment.

Boomi will reach the $500 million recurring revenue mark this year and is growing more than 20% annually, said Lucas (pictured). Equally important is that it's developing new ways to incorporate generative AI into its product line.
