Background[]

Isiah's father fought alongside Thomas Shelby in WWI and as a result, Isiah is respected by the Shelby family. Isiah is a close friend of Finn Shelby.

Series 2 · 1922[]

Isiah is one of the first friends that Michael Gray makes when he becomes involved with the Peaky Blinders. The two become instant friends and, one night, decide to go drinking at a local pub, The Marquis of Lorne. When they arrive at the pub, one of the customers refuses to drink in the same pub as a black man. The man demands that Isiah leaves, however Isiah refuses, remarking that the man should instead leave. Initially, the man does not know that Isiah is a Peaky Blinder, nor that Michael Gray is the son of Polly Shelby, and the two begin fighting with the men in the pub. The fight quickly comes to a halt, however, when the barman reveals that Michael is Polly Shelby's son. The men immediately stop the fight and apologize.

Series 3 · 1924[]

Isiah attends the wedding of Thomas and Grace Burgess, attempting to woo the ladies, he asks Thomas if cocaine is allowed at the wedding. Thomas informs him that cocaine is banned for the day in an effort to impress Grace and her family. Along with the rest of the Shelby family and Peaky Blinders, Isiah manages to obey Thomas' orders throughout the chaotic day.

Isiah is involved in the meeting between the Peaky Blinders and Vicente Changretta, along with John and Arthur Shelby.

Series 4 · 1925 - 1926[]

Isiah is there when Finn is shot in the arm and helps hold him down so Aberama Gold can remove the bullet.

Isiah is present when Thomas meets Laura McKee of the IRA.

Series 6 · 1934[]

Isiah is made Arthur's lieutenant by Thomas on the Hayden Stagg mission.

After Billy Grade is revealed to be the informant, Finn attempts to shoot Isiah after being given a gun by Duke Shelby to finish off Grade. Fortunately, Duke emptied the first two chambers of the gun, saving Isiah's life and having Finn banished from the Shelby family. One can guess that going forward, Isiah will be a supporter and friend of Duke's.

Michael Gray[]

Isiah is Michael's first friend when Michael joins the Peaky Blinders. Isiah has a big role in turning Michael into a gangster. he introduces him to the swagger and violence of life in the Peaky Blinders. It's Isiah who gives Michael his first whisky and cigarette.

Finn Shelby[]

Isiah and Finn grew up together in Small Heath and are close friends. He is there when Finn is shot in the arm and helps hold him down so Aberama Gold can remove the bullet. At some point, Finn and Isiah grown apart. After Billy Grade is revealed to be the informant, Finn attempts to shoot Isiah after being given a gun by Duke Shelby to finish off Grade. Fortunately, Duke emptied the first two chambers of the gun, saving Isiah's life and having Finn banished from the Shelby family. It's safe to assume that after this, Finn and Isiah are no longer friends or allies.
