Spring is coming, and so are some of the first big movies of the year. This month's movie lineup is anchored by the epic spectacle of DUNE: PART TWO, which opens March with a lion's roar, and we'll soon get to the new Ghostbusters and Godzilla movies, a Pixar re-release, multiple horror films, and more.
Here are the new movies to see in theatres in March 2024.

Dune: Part Two

Movies Opening the Week of March 8
Cabrini
Based on a true story, one woman fights for the equality, health, and happiness of immigrant orphans. Cabrini charts the rise of a hero for our time – a woman whose determination, business skill and unswerving faith helped her overcome profound sexism and anti-immigrant bigotry – all to found an empire of hope that transformed the lives of millions worldwide.
Imaginary
A woman returns to her childhood home to discover that the imaginary friend she left behind is very real and unhappy that she abandoned him. Read more about IMAGINARY here.
Kung Fu Panda 4
After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior, is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest already. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position. Even worse, there’s been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon, a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small. And Chameleon has her greedy, beady little eyes on Po’s Staff of Wisdom, which would give her the power to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm. Love Lies Bleeding
From Director Rose Glass comes an electric new love story; reclusive gym manager Lou falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family.
Movies Opening the Week of March 15
Arthur the King
Over the course of ten days and 435 miles, an unbreakable bond is forged between pro adventure racer Michael Light (Mark Wahlberg) and a scrappy street dog companion dubbed Arthur. Based on an incredible true story, ARTHUR THE KING follows Light, desperate for one last chance to win, as he convinces a sponsor to back him and a team of athletes (Simu Liu, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Ali Suliman) for the Adventure Racing World Championship in the Dominican Republic. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age. Immaculate
Sydney Sweeney (ANYONE BUT YOU, "Euphoria," "The White Lotus") stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.
Luca
Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca (voice of Jacob Tremblay) shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, Alberto (voice of Jack Dylan Grazer), but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface. Directed by Academy Award® nominee Enrico Casarosa (“La Luna”) and produced by Andrea Warren (“Lava,” “Cars 3”), “Luca” was nominated for an Oscar for best animated feature film and a Golden Globe for best motion picture—animated. “Luca” releases in theaters on March 22, 2024.

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire
