Can I exchange a LEGO set without a receipt? ›

Unopened sets that are not accompanied by a shipping confirmation email or receipt cannot be exchanged or returned to a LEGO Brand Retail Store.

Whether you make your return through LEGO.com or by contacting us, we'll provide you with a prepaid label that you can use to return items to a UPS drop off point. We'll start processing your refund within 1-2 days after we get the items back. It can take up to 14 days for the refund to reach your bank.

AG LEGO Certified Stores will happily EXCHANGE or provide a CREDIT NOTE for online purchases within 30 days of receipt, or for in store purchases within 30 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required when making an exchange or receiving a store credit.

LEGO stores have special displays called "picture frames" in which sets in cases are shown off (usually there is also one or two at a time at all Target, Wal-Mart, and similar stores). These retail displays are then sold in employee auctions once they are taken down.

How to Sell & Trade: Bring your LEGO® product to the store's Sell & Trade counter. We will evaluate them based on several factors, including condition, demand and quantity, and then make you an offer. You can then choose the cash value or the higher in-store credit value.

With faulty goods, you simply need to prove purchase. This could be the receipt, but any other legitimate record – such as a bank statement – should be fine. However, if you've no legal right but are simply utilising a store's return policy, then you'll need a receipt if that's what the policy says.

Opened sets with a receipt can only be returned for an exchange or store credit but check with the store first as there may be limitations on which items that they can accept. Gift cards and purchases from the Pick & Build wall and Build a Mini tower can't be returned or exchanged.

You're able to return or replace items purchased in store at your nearest Walmart store within 90 days of receipt.

Returning an online item to the store will reduce wait times for your refund or exchange. Replace the item in its original packaging. Bring your item, original packaging, the credit card you used, if applicable and the receipt. Go to the Returns or Customer Service department at the store.
