    ExxonMobil is the largest energy company in the United States based on revenue. In its 2021 fiscal year, the Texas-based oil and gas producer generated 278.98 billion U.S. dollars in revenues. This was nearly double the amount generated by Chevron, which ranked second. Exelon was the largest electric utility in the country, ranking ninth with 36.3 billion U.S. dollars in revenues.
